'Re: collection 100', 2005. Commissioned to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the Otago Medical School Physiology Department. The clear resin form references early electrical recordings from muscle tissue and the shape of the human spine. Medical instruments dating back to the founding of the school and up to contemporary times were embedded in 220 litres of clear casting resin. Conference proceedings and anniversary events have been downloaded into a memory stick embedded in the sculpture via a USB port built into the cast resin. This work is thought to be the largest clear resin casting in NZ.
